AFTER WATCHING THE MOVIE TRON FOR THE FIRST TIME (ACTUALLY REALLY GOOD, PACED FOR A PRETEEN BOY AND FULL OF HOT DUDES IN SHINY OUTFITS?! ME LIKE!) I WAS READING UP ON IT AND REALIZED THE REAL STORY BEHIND IT IS WENDY CARLOS, THE WOMAN RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SOUNDTRACK (WELL HER AND JOURNEY).

ONE OF MOOG'S EARLY CUSTOMERS AND AN INNOVATOR OF HIS SYNTHESIZERS (FIGURING OUT HOW TO PROGRAM REALLY CRAZY ORCHESTRAL PIECES WHEN INSTEAD OF A SIMPLE KEYBOARD THE SHIT WAS LIKE A HUGE BANK OF KNOBS AND CHORDS AND ALL THIS DRAMA), WENDY CARLOS BROUGHT ELECTRONIC MUSIC TO THE MAINSTREAM WITH THE PLATINUM RELEASE "SWITCHED ON BACH" IN 1968.

STANLEY KUBRICK ALSO TAPPED HER TO SCORE THE SHINING IN 1980, AND OF COURSE SHE DID TRON IN 1982.
